During Westlake’s second summer in Mistissini, Québec, Wednesday’s are special days where the Westlake players get involved in the community. On this particular day, players had the opportunity of working with, and learning from, the Elder’s, at Elder’s Point – a local gathering area where traditional customs such as cooking, wood working, knitting, weaving fish nets, smoking and stretching moose hide and practicing traditional medicine, are practiced on a regular basis.
