Westlake Program Grads

Already many Westlake Alumni have achieved their personal goals. Some have earned scholarships to Prep Schools in the USA & Canada, while others have earned roster spots on Midget AAA or Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) teams. Below are testimonials written by some of our program participants, about how they reached the level at which they now find themselves. Below that, you can find a complete list of former Westlake players who have gone on to play for prep schools, the USPHL, and the QMJHL.

Ever since I’ve been playing hockey I have attended hockey schools and camps over the summer. The summer after my last year of Bantam AA, I attended WHD. It was the school’s first year. I have been a part of Westlake since the first summer Carl and Matt held the camp. The camp is an absolute diamond in the rough. I learned so much from Carl, Matt, and the rest of the experienced staff they had working with us. The staff has experience from almost every level in hockey possible from prep school to the NHL. The camp made a tremendous impact on me as a person and a player.

Corey Tozzi

Being the youngest player on the team, I was up against grade 11 and Cegep players. I had to fight hard for a place on that team and I did just that to make the team! During my hockey season, I kept thinking about wanting to play Midget AAA for the Lac St. Louis Lions for the next season. I worked hard and in the summer of 2007, I got a call from Westlake Hockey Development to come to their program. It was the best choice I made...
